VCA - WHAT IS THAT?
In the top DJ mixers from IMG Stage Line so-called VCA faders are used as crossfaders and partly even as channel faders. VCA faders (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) are a considerable further development compared to standard faders. In this case, the signal is not directly adjusted to a higher or lower volume but a special preamplifier is controlled which the signal passes through. In case of interruptions of the fader contacts, e.g. by dirt accumulation or wear and tear, the signal is not interfered and the known crackling and interruptions of older faders do not occur. However, only the volume getting lower or higher stagnates for a very small moment, which is inaudible. The possible service life and operational safety of our VCA faders is thus many times higher than that of basic faders. |
